terms and conditions

QUOTES

A quote is valid for 3 days from its original date. Once reviewed  client is responsible to Accept to proceed with booking or contact us to make adjustments. A quote does not secure a date, any delay may result in the date being released.


PRICES

Our prices are based on the labor,  time  and the quality of the ingredients required to create your custom design and are not negotiable. 

We will gladly make suggestions to work within your budget.


ORDERS AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE

BOOKING FEE

If you love our style and would like us to design your cake but are not certain of your exact style you can put down a non refundable booking fee of $200.00 to secure your date. This will be credited towards your order.


ORDERS

Orders less than $350.00 full payment is required to secure your booking. 

Orders over $350.00 a 50% non-refundable retainer will reserve your event date.


RETAINER

Once you have received your quote and approved your design and quote, an invoice will be sent and a 50% non-refundable retainer is required within 48 hours to secure your booking.  


FINAL PAYMENT  

Due 1 month prior to your event.

Failure to submit in due time will result in cancellation of order. Retainer is non refundable. 


CAKE STANDS

We do not offer cake stand rental services. If  cake stands are required,  prices will be reflected in your final invoice. 


CHANGES AND PROCESSING FEES

Of size, design or flavors of the cake can be made up to 4 weeks prior to your event. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.


We do not charge for processing fees to an order paid online. IF any changes are made where an order is downsized and refunds are given, if the order was paid with credit card and processing fees were applied, those fees will be deducted from the total refund.


DELIVERY AND SET UP FEES

We know that your wedding day can be stressful, which is why we offer delivery and setup services for your cake. We'll work with your venue to ensure that your cake is delivered and set up in a timely and professional manner, so you can focus on enjoying your special day.


FEES will be determined by the mileage between your venue and our studio in Rancho Cordova, CA and amount of time needed for assembly. 

Delivery fee is $50  +  $1.25/ mile round trip. Set up  fees will be based one the time to set up specific order.


INSPECTION AND QUALITY POLICY

VISUAL DESIGN INSPECTION & ACCEPTANCE 

Inspection upon Receipt: The client or a designated representative (such as a wedding coordinator or venue manager) must inspect the cake visually at the time of delivery or pickup.

Design Sign-Off: By accepting the cake and allowing our team to complete the setup, the client confirms that the visual design, color palette, and structural execution are acceptable. Minor variations in hand-piping, color shading, or sugar/wafer flower placement are natural characteristics of bespoke artistry and do not constitute defects.


FLAVOR DISCREPANCIES & THE CONSUMPTION RULE

Immediate Notification: If a flavor discrepancy is discovered upon cutting the cake at the reception, the studio must be notified via email within 24 hours of the event, accompanied by photographic proof of the cake interior.

The Consumption Rule: If a flavor discrepancy is identified, but the client chooses to proceed with cutting, serving, and consuming the cake at the event, a full refund will not be issued under any circumstances. Serving the cake to guests constitutes acceptance and utilization of the product.

Compensation Cap for Consumed Cake: If a flavor error is verified and the cake was served, compensation is strictly capped at a maximum of 20% of the cake’s base price (excluding delivery and setup fees). This partial refund acknowledges our baking error while covering the studio's baseline costs for premium ingredients, specialized materials, and dedicated production hours.


REJECTED & DECLINED ORDERS

Return Requirement: If a flavor or structural discrepancy is deemed a complete dealbreaker, and the client decides to reject the cake entirely, the cake must not be served to guests. To qualify for a higher refund evaluation, the cake must be pulled from the event floor and returned to our studio substantially intact (minus the initial inspection cut) within 48 hours of the event.

Maximum Refund Cap: Because custom wedding cakes involve extensive, non-recoverable labor and highly perishable ingredients tailored specifically to your event, the maximum refund for a completely declined and physically returned product is capped at 60% of the total contract value.


ALLERGENS

Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.


CAKE CARE

We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after set-up is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate, level and secure table and environment for the cake(s). 

Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit or below. Avoid placing cake under direct sunlight or warm area.


If you or your representative elects to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves our possession.


FRESH FLOWERS

You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. We reserve the right to refuse placement flowers considered not food safe or toxic. 


If flowers are provided by an outside source, we will clean, prepare and arrange them for an additional fee. 


If fresh flowers are placed on or around our baked goods after they leave our studio, we are not responsible for any contamination or toxic effect that may result of such flowers.

PHOTOGRAPHY

On occasion we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.


WEDDING PLANNERS

If you are working with a wedding planner please provide name and best method of contact.


WEDDING PLANNER:

If you are reaching out on behalf of a couple, please provide their names, phone number and email address.


AGREEMENT

Performance of this agreement is contingent upon our ability to complete the Agreement and is subject to accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control.
